Dr. Craig distinguished himself by exceptionally meritorious service as Chief of Oral Surgery at the Craig Joint Theater Hospital (CJTH) in Bagram, Afghanistan while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. As a surgical leader at CJTH, he performed complex head and neck surgeries to stabilize and repair service men and women who suffered facial injuries and gunshot wounds. He received a Bronze Star Medal recommendation and a Meritorious Service Medal in 2014.
Humanitarian service is one of Dr. Craig ’s core values. His commitment to service includes dental mission trips to San Pedro Sula, Honduras and Punto Fijo, Venezuela. In addition, during his deployment, he voluntarily performed life-transforming cleft lip and palate surgeries for Afghan children.
